We Design and Create Exquisite Jewelry...On Premises

Foxfire Jewelry first opened our doors in 1978 in Kirkland's converted old hospital building and sold jewelry created by Michael Babinski using ethnic beads and artifacts.

In 1979 Foxfire moved to Seattle. at 65th and Roosevelt, where we shared a space with jeweler Paul Johnson in a venture called the Casbah.

After 6 months, Paul left the Casbah because of poor sales and continued his operation in the old hospital. The Casbah eventually closed in 1981 because of Michael's desire to complete his education and pursue metalwork. He continued to use Foxfire Jewelry as his company name though.

Michael continued making jewelry while completing an AA degree in Marketing at Bellevue Community College. Foxfire was an entity that sold jewelry at street fairs and craft shows such as the Pacific N.W. Arts and Crafts show in Bellevue.

Then Michael worked for fine jewelers Bevan' s in Bellevue Square and later McDonough's in Everett, to learn more about goldsmithing techniques. Michael got married to Mary, whom he had met in 1977.

In May 1985, Mary and Michael Babinski opened Foxfire Jewelers in Woodinville in The Woodgate Mall, with 300 square feet.

Over the years Foxfire has moved to Woodinville Towne Center and increased to almost 800 square feet and added 4 employees.

Foxfire Jewelers has been featured in National Magazines such as Lapidary Journal, Ornament, National Jeweler, JCK, Modern Jeweler and local newspapers Seattle Weekly, Woodinville Weekly and the Journal American.

We sell what we create: with the exception of the chains our pendants hang on, all jewelry is created in Foxfire's own studio in an artistic yet exacting manner.

We appreciate your continuing support that has made it all possible.
